This release from Bowmore was distilled back in 1989. It’s been matured over three decades in a combination of bourbon barrels and sherry hogsheads. Just two casks are selected each year, making this a rare treat. Expect Bowmore’s smoky, fruity style, taken up a notch or two.

It’s widely considered among the best Bowmores in history!
Brora 1977 - 38 Year Old - 15th Release - Special Releases 2016
The Brora distillery ran from 1819 to 1983, and now whisky lovers have a chance to sample the mothballed distillery’s 1977 vintage. The mesmeric malt, which aged in refill European oak butts and American oak hogsheads, fuses peat, smoke and ash before finishing with notes of sea salt.
Brora 1978 - 35 Year Old - 13th Release - Special Releases 2014
Slowly aged for 35 years, this limited edition single malt is a 2014 special release that gently acquires its rich and complex palate. Opening with waxy notes that blend with fruity elements of pineapple, it is completed with hints of vanilla.
Brora 1981 - 40 Year Old - Prima & Ultima 3
The 1981 Brora is an ultra-rare release that showcases elegance through restraint. With fragrant notes of scented candle wax, smoke, and blooming flowers, this whisky has a smooth, mouth-filling texture. The rounded taste is sweet and lightly smoky, with a dash of salt mid-palate, while the finish is long and carries a light smoke.
