From Japan’s oldest distillery, the Yamazaki, comes this incredible single malt. It’s been matured in a cask that once held Bordeaux wine, for an unspecified period. With plenty of rich fruitiness complementing those more familiar notes, it’s an expression that provides something truly special.
Yamazaki Limited Edition 2021
This whisky is an annual release from Suntory. It comes from the famous Yamazaki distillery, and is the result of a marriage of malts, all aged for at least twelve years, in virgin Mizunara casks. This is the 2021 release.
Yamazaki Limited Edition 2022
Here we have the 2022 release of Suntory’s much-loved Yamazaki limited edition whisky. It’s been crafted through the marriage of a range of malts, each aged for twelve years or more in new Quercus Crispula barrels.
Yamazaki Peated Malt - 2020 Edition
This expression is a product of the Yamazaki distillery. The use of peated malt is rare for the distillery, but in this instance it provides a touch of smoke that nicely complements the nutty, fruit-centric profile.
Yamazaki Puncheon - 2020 Edition
This whisky was distilled at Japan’s oldest distillery, the world-famous Yamazaki Distillery in Osaka. It’s been matured in a sherry puncheon, which helps to impart complex dried fruit and spice notes while still retaining the character of the spirit.
