Dublin Liberties -16 Year Old - Keeper's Coin
From The Dublin Liberties comes a flavoursome cask-finished whiskey! The 16 Year Old matured primarily in bourbon barrels before a finishing period in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks. Named Keeper's Coin after the crypts beneath Dublin's Christ Church cathedral, once notorious drinking dens, this whiskey pays homage to the cellar keepers who had their own casks and coins. Expect aromas of toffee pennies, custard, fried dough, and prunes, followed by flavours of chocolate-covered Brazil nuts, blueberry muffins, cassia, and clove, leading to an enjoyably oaky finish with hints of Christmas spice, dried fruit, and salted caramel.
