This Barrel-proof bourbon is named after W.L. Weller, whose wheat-based production method it employs. It’s been bottled by hand, and provides rich leather and caramel in the nose; marshmallow, salted almond and dates in the body; and a finish that’s silky-smooth and lush.
The Four Roses 2018 small batch release coincided with the company’s 130th anniversary, and thus there was no way that they weren’t going to pull out every stop. With a nose that’s rich in vanilla and ripe berries, and a body that hints at mint, cinnamon and apple, it’s a bourbon with plenty to give.
